Despite the rain, the children of Wroclaw carried on having fun in Rynek Square where "Children's Day" activities and celebrations were being held. Members of our traveling troupe carried on also!
The "Hansel and Gretel houses" which at one time were the guard houses in front of St Mary's Church on Rynek Square. The groups of school children lined up here, ready for their Children's Day!

City hall clock says it's noon. Time for Jane Viste to grab a coiled sweet roll!
Polish bakers take pride in their work. In this mobile food cart are marble countertops for rolling out the dough which is then coiled and cooked as it is ordered. The result is a coiled sweet roll that is then rolled in the topping of choice (nuts, coconut, etc). This place would rate "excellent" for cleanliness from our food inspectors! We rated the product excellent also.

Water music?
We were delivered to Tumski Island (Cathedral Island) in Wroclaw by water taxi! Even through the rain, the view as we approached the Island of cathedrals was breathtaking.
Can't forget the piano and speakers! John Blankenship helps Maury haul the heavy "freight" though the rain, down steps to the water taxi.
What a guy! Larry Fenske shares his umbrella with Dotti Orazem, one-time member of the Larimer Chorale and now a member of the Silvertones.
