Wroclaw: The Air Is Full Of Spices and the Streets Are Filled with Gnomes

Wroclaw has a fascinating history, having been passed from ruler to ruler for the past 800 years.  Also know to the German speaking world as Breslau, the medieval town was a strategic and commercial center or Central Europe.  Five rivers converge here – can you name them?  Wroclaw is a city of canals, bridges, and history.  There are perhaps 80 tiny gnome statues hidden around the old town.  Fun for children of all ages.

We arrived in Wroclaw (Vrot'slav) in time for dinner. I ate with members of our string quartet, Charlotte, Natalia, Alex and Filip. Charlotte knew of this WONDERFUL pierogi restaurant.  We had traditional and baked pierogis filled with creamed spinach, cabbage and meat, and other yummy stuff I can't remember. — at Wrocławski Rynek.
